Baked into the core of his musical being are the influence of John Coltrane, the blues, Trey Anasasio and The Grateful Dead. Some of his earliest memories are of music and those moments have led to a lifetime of playing, writing and teaching music. Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Josh Maxey began playing guitar at age 12. Maxey Archtops partners with Phred Instruments to design and build a line of hand made, high end, made to order guitars.
